Physical activity comes with preconceptions....you don't have to be red-faced, struggling for breath if you don't want to, it doesn't matter what fitness 'gear' you have or what you look like in it, if you lift weights you won't look 'bulky' unless that is the goal....exercise can be tailored for your own personal use and enjoyment....yes, ENJOYMENT!

Taking part in any activity that increases our heart rate & stimulates our muscles is essential to our Wellbeing.

 

As with the world we live in, we are not designed to stay still, if we do we stagnate,

our blood pools & cannot circulate oxygen & nutrients properly

 

our internal cleaning system (lymphatic) relies on movement to remove waste & dead cells to make way for new healthy cells and our digestive muscles need stimulation to keep things 'moving'....

our muscles waste without stimulation

and our brains need all of these processes to occur in order be able to think 'clearly' & produce the body chemicals that control all of our mind-body processes....

 

our mood stability, memory, ability to think clearly, cope with stress and the demands placed upon us in life.
